Benvenuti Vina

A family winery owned by two brothers, continuing the heritage of their late father who started Benvenuti in 2003. It lies close to the dramatic hilltop town of Motovun in Istria and its vineyards are the highest in the whole region at up to 400 m above the sea level, which allows production of healthy grapes with minimal intervention. Overall vineyard area covers 22 hectares, on white soils, and 60% is planted with Malvazija Istarska, 35% is planted with Teran and the rest is planted with other varieties, notably Muscat. This is hands-on family operation with all the work in the cellar and vineyards carried by family members.
