Castel Mimi was founded in 1893 by the last governor of Bessarabia, Constantin Mimi, in the village of Bulboaca. It is Moldova’s first chateau, now beautifully restored and home to a familyowned winery. It owns 200 hectares of vineyards near the Nistru River and over 1000 barrels for wine maturation. Castel Mimi specialises in high-quality dry wines from international and indigenous grapes and produces about half a million bottles annually, exporting to 25 countries, with top markets in Romania, China, Poland, Japan, Sweden, Norway, and The Netherlands.

Castel Mimi has become known as the “Little Versailles of Moldova,” and is proud to have hosted the European Political Community Summit in June 2023, welcoming 47 world leaders.
