Amathus

Amathus Drinks is a family-owned importer, distributor and retailer, supplying the UK’s on-trade with a comprehensive range of wines and spirits. We work directly with over 150 quality-focused wineries, including a wide range of Greek wines. Recently we have been so excited by the diversity and quality of the Eastern European wine scene that we have added several new producers from this area in the last year, all of which are on show today alongside some favourites from our portfolio. 

Davino

Davino, a pioneering producer from the heart of Dealu Mare, produce of some of Romania’s most exciting wines. They create blends that express the region, using indigenous varieties (Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Neagra) alongside international ones.

Carastelec

A highly awarded boutique winery that specializes in traditional method sparkling wine, located in the cool Crișana region, among the oldest wine regions in Transylvania. Carassia is a rising star of Romanian sparkling wine, the equivalent of a ‘grower champagne’.

Efrosini

Efrosini is located in the wild countryside of the village of Kerasia, Heraklion. Under the guidance of current generation Antonis and Maria, the wines are gaining recognition and medals. Their Vidiano and Liatiko offer admirable purity as well as great value.

Pasaeli

Paşaeli is a dynamic boutique family estate established in 2000 in western Türkiye, with the aim of preserving the indigenous grape varieties of Anatolia and Thrace and turning them into high quality wines suited to the international modern consumer.

Gruber

Gruber Roschitz is an organic pioneering winery in the Weinviertel wine-growing region of Niederosterreich. Now managed by 3 Gruber siblings, Maria, Ewald and Christian, they have 80 ha with more than 150 vineyard sites, all managed organically.

Fuleky

Fuleky is a leading producer from Tokaj, with 25 ha of vineyards in the best terroirs of Tokaj. They produce a series of outstanding single vineyard dry whites and highly awarded and complex botrytis sweet Tokaji wine. An incredibly engaging producer.

Dugladze

From Georgia’s principal wine region, Kakheti, Dugladze is a leading family winery making distinctively qvevri wines with a modern winemaking twist. They have been making wine and spirits since 1904, and today have one of the most advanced wineries in Georgia.

Keush

Keush winery is based in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia, focusing on indigenous grapes. They work with 60 to 100-year-old ungrafted vines, with altitudes as high as 1500- 1750m on volcanic soils. Unique wines which are a must try!

Dorcha

Dorcha is the brainchild of Izidor (Dorcha), a 3rd generation winemaker with 22 ha near Ritoznoj in the stunning green hills of Štajerska Slovenia. He has taken the family business in a contemporary direction, using sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention in the cellar.
