Shabo Winery is a family business owned by the Iukuridze family, based on more than 200 years of winemaking traditions, dating back to the famous Swiss colony of Chabag. Today Shabo is a leading producer of premium wines, sparkling wines and brandies from its 1200 ha of vineyards in southern Ukraine, between the Black Sea and the Dniester estuary. The hallmark of this terroir is a unique indigenous white grape variety called Telti-Kuruk only grown by Shabo. Shabo wines are trailblazers for Ukrainian terroir around the world – it was the first Ukrainian winery to receive Gold and Platinum Medals from Decanter World Wine Awards and has won more than 600 top awards from other international competitions.
