The stunning Vila Dobrușa estate, the home of Avincis winery, opened its doors in the summer of 2011 with its story of a family recovering its long heritage. It’s a hilltop location with vineyards and lush forests on all sides, offering outstanding sun exposure, clayey-calcareous soil, and breezes from the Olt River nearby. Local grape varieties are a key part of the story especially the unique Alutus, a local cross, as well as Crâmpoșie Selecționată, Negru de Drăgășani, Tămâioasă Românească and Fetească Regală as some of the gems of Avincis. It also grows selected international varieties, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
