In 2012, the Tóth family fell in love with the hills on the outskirts of the 1000-year-old town of Pannonhalma. Action followed quickly, with 13 hectares of vines planted by 2014 with plants sourced from Scheiblhofer in Andau, Austria, as a guarantee of quality. We examined soil profiles in detail before planting to match varieties and clones, especially for the light fruity character we wanted in our white wines. Currently we use two types of oak, high quality Hungarian and a Burgundian barrel with a specific toasting.
