Slovakia is a winegrowing and winemaking miniature of Europe. It has an unexpectedly wide array of well-known, as well as completely new, original varieties. It is a country of unlimited potential for white wines and of surprising variations of red wines. 90% of wine is produced with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).

The combination of a northerly climate and variable soil conditions, means wines from Slovakia have naturally higher acidity, which adds freshness, sparkle, and vibrancy, yet remain harmonious. They have long persistence, full body, and crispness. The aroma depends on the variety – most have floral or citrus aromas, while wines from the Tokaj region exhibit breadfruit and nut notes.

Mrva & Stanko
Established in 1997, this winery quickly became one of the most awarded producers in Slovakia. It is known for a consistent quality and a wide range of elegant wines.

Predium Vráble 

A modern winery in Slovakia blending tradition with innovation. Focused on sustainable viticulture and environmentally friendly wine production.

Pivnica Radošina 

A respected winery continuing the historical tradition of winemaking in the Radošina region. Known for producing distinctive wines that reflect local heritage.

Tokaj & Co. 

The largest winery in the Slovak Tokaj region, managing 110 hectares of vineyards. Famous for producing classic Tokaj wines with a strong local identity.

Ostrožovič 

The oldest private winery in Slovak Tokaj. Since 1990, it has been producing high-quality wines from 58 hectares of vineyards using eco-friendly methods.

Agro-Fyrmonia 

A family winery in Rúbaň that emphasizes organic farming and low-intervention winemaking. Their wines reflect the character of the region’s unique terroir.

Château Topoľčianky 

Established in 1933, it is one of the largest and most historic wineries in Slovakia. With 670 hectares of vineyards, it produces over 7 million bottles annually.

Golguz 

A dynamic winery from the Malokarpatská wine region, known for modern techniques and vibrant wines. It emphasizes both tradition and innovation in its portfolio.

Villa Víno Rača 

Located in the Bratislava district of Rača, it is famous for its red Rača Frankovka and elegant white wines. It continues the rich winemaking tradition of the Malokarpatská region.

Dubovský & Grančič 

A family-owned winery in the Malokarpatská region, producing expressive wines with careful attention to vineyard work and minimal intervention in the cellar.

Velkeer 

A boutique winery from the Nitra region, dedicated to producing wines of character and depth. Their focus is on balanced and terroir-driven wines made with passion.

Château Rubáň 

Situated in the Južnoslovenská region, this château combines winemaking with tourism. Its wines highlight the potential of the local terroir, offering freshness and elegance.

Vínne Pivnice Sv. Jur 

This winery operates in historical wine cellars in the town of Svätý Jur. It is known for its natural-style wines and focus on native grape varieties.

Habsburg Winery
