Northern Terroir was founded in 2017 to capture the essence of the unique northern terroir of Armenia’s Tavush province in its wines. Our 24 ha of vineyards in Haghtanak village are situated at an average altitude of 450 metres, with a continental climate characterized by warm summers and mild winters. No pesticides or herbicides are used. The winery focuses on local grapes, especially Lalvari, which is used for both still and sparkling wines thanks to its good acidity. The winery believes strongly in the teamwork and professionalism of its own people, to pair skill and craftsmanship with strong historical, geographical and cultural connections.
